Piano Ministry

As a Christian concert pianist, Matt Wilder combines original piano music and hymns with heartfelt Scripture recitation. This is offered to God as an aroma of Christ, to help spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. The aim is to glorify God, serve the Body of Christ, and reach the world for Jesus.

Dr. Rick Merritt is husband of forty-two years to his wife Judith Merritt with three children and thirteen grandchildren.
He is a proud veteran who served in the military before resigning to civilian life and devoting himself to full time ministry. He has been the Lead pastor at 180 Faith Ministries in Vista CA since 1996 reaching the Tri-City and North County area. The church has been making impact on Camp Pendleton and the Miramar Naval Base for more than two decades, not to mention, the surrounding community with local outreach activities.
He has a Ph.D. in Pastoral Care and Clinical Counseling; he is a certified (Marriage Family Therapist), and belongs to the American Academy of Clinical Family Therapists Association, along with other certifications from Light University and the American Association of Christian Counselors in Premarital, Marital Coaching, Addiction, Recovery, Crisis Counseling for Acute Stress, Grief, Trauma Care, PTSD and Combat Stress.
Dr. Merritt has put his counseling and pastoral experience of over 25 years into his first book; The Bridge Between Us. He is requested across the Continental US and abroad to teach and give seminars on marriage, family, and overall healthy relationships.
He provides a program, "What We Have In Common", to engaged and married couples in San Diego, North County, San Bernardino, and Riverside County.

The 1916 Project

The 1916 Project is a powerful documentary that uncovers the disturbing legacy of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and her deep ties to the eugenics movement (a harmful pseudoscientific belief aimed at “improving” humanity by controlling who could reproduce. This ideology targeted marginalized groups—especially people of color, the poor, and those with disabilities—justifying horrific policies like forced sterilizations and treating human lives as disposable). Through compelling historical research and expert analysis, the film reveals how Sanger’s racist and elitist ideologies have shaped the modern cultural landscape. From the promotion of abortion to the breakdown of family structures and the rise of gender confusion, The 1916 Project exposes the enduring impact of her influence, particularly on communities of color. The film serves as a call to action for those seeking to understand the origins of America’s moral decline and the forces at play in today’s culture war.
Join us as we gather together to pack shoeboxes to be sent out to children in less fortunate places. These shoeboxes may be the only gift some of these children may receive this year!

This February, we are blessed and pleased to announce that Oscar Navarro of Living Water Ministries will be returning to Cortez to preach the Gospel and the Word of God. We will gather, men and women, together on Saturday morning for breakfast and fellowship. Then the men and women will split up for separate study times. He'll be speaking again Saturday evening to the congregation and will then preach on Sunday morning.

Adam’s Road Piano events provide an in-depth journey through the Gospel in spoken word and music: a time of worshipful piano music played to the praise and glory of Jesus Christ. The current program includes a combination of original Adam’s Road Piano repertoire and original Christian hymn arrangements. The story of God's love through the Gospel is passionately shared. Interspersed throughout the concert are sections in which the pianist narrates the story of the Gospel and shares Bible verses while providing musical underlay on the piano: highlighting the creation and fall of mankind, the incarnation, the cross, the resurrection, and the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ.
